On Saturday, 28 January 2017 we were saddened to receive the news that our friend and colleague, Andy Binnie had very suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.

Andy joined OHAL in September 2014 and was our ICT, Data & Compliance Officer.

“There are no such things as problems, only opportunities”, he used to say. Andy was a huge asset to our staff team, he was never “too busy” to help and had immense patience and knowledge. Andy thrived on the fact that through his work, he made a positive impact on the day to day duties undertaken by his colleagues.

Andy will be greatly missed by his colleagues, committee members and our computing consultants with whom he was in regular contact.

Andy will be remembered at OHAL as a thoughtful, kind gentleman who was passionate about his job and colleagues.

Our heartfelt sympathies are with Andy’s wife Karen, their children and the rest of the family at this sad time.
